The tour will
leave
the Liwa hotel one and a half hours before sunrise. We will drive
southward towards the magnificent dunes of Liwa for approx 30 minutes
before our guide(s) stop to deflate their tyres.
Enjoy a soft
adventure on uneven tracks for another 30 minutes until we reach the
preset location where your guide will prepare a comfortable set up for you
to sit and watch the magnificent sunrise. Meanwhile our guide will cook
you a delicious and healthy B’fst hoping to pump up your energy for the
rest of the day!
The return journey
to the Hotel should last approx. 45 minute arriving before 08:00 AM

There is no better
way of enjoying a trip to Liwa than taking part in this once in a lifetime
desert adventure.
We will leave the
Liwa Hotel at 09:00 AM and drive southwards. We will first visit a
camel farm where our guides be happy to lecture you about this
marvellous beast and its vital role It played in the bedus life. We
continue our drive on tarmac road towards the Moreb hill which is
located some 20 km to the south, an interesting site in the midst
of some gigantic dunes especially built by the authorities in Abu Dhabi to
exhibit specialized desert races twice a year. Our adventure will take off
from here into the vast sea of sand and we will climb the steepest of sand
dunes and roll down in a ‘roller coaster’ style, the adrenaline level will
gradually increase and the drive will get more and more exciting
especially when you start hearing the sound of "Sand Avalanche" a
very unique experience which can only be experienced in the sand dunes of
Liwa area. We will pass numerous desert reserves and if lucky, we might
spot some of the rare and indigenous species of Arabia; the Arabian
gazelle, which used to roam the desert in the past and were threatened to
the extinction, thanks to the effort of HH. Sheikh Zayed, who, succeeded
in re-introducing and protecting them. Another attraction on this tour
will be the sigh ting of the unique "Sand Roses" which are basically
a form of crystallized gypsum forming under the salt flats called "Sabkhas"
and have different shapes which looks much like a rose flower with open
petals. We will stop and relax for a “lunch picnic” after which we
continue our adventurous journey; and just before we head back to the road
we will introduce you to the latest in “desert sport” namely “sand
boarding” where you can test your skills in sliding "surfing"
on sand!
We should be back at
the Hotel at approx. 13:00

We should start our
afternoon program some two hours before sunset and cruise gently over some
sand dunes to reach a tranquil spot where we stop to watch the beautiful “Sunset”.
Our guides will set up the camping area and will cook you a
mouth-watering “BBQ”. Far in the horizon, you will notice the Sun
in a spectacular array of colours diving down and disappearing in the vast
sea of sands, making this moment the highlight of the journey. Enjoy the
emptiness of the desert and gaze into the magical night sky decorated by
millions of stars! And do not forget to keep that wish for this brilliant
shooting star!
We should be back to
the Hotel approx. one hour after sunset.

This is the height of desert
and nature combination! leave the hustle and bustle of the busy city
behind and travel back in time to experience what nature has to offer.
Enjoy a bivouac camping style, gaze at the flames of a bon fire,
count the endless numbers of stars and listen to your soul! this is what
we call a real spiritual experience.
If this is your first time to
camp in the desert, do not worry, we will make it as comfortable as it
gets and provide you with clean and comfortable mattresses and sleeping
gear.
Watch the sunrise and capture
the emptiness of the desert, while your guide prepares your light
breakfast.
