ITINERARY

This will be a trip to remember! We will cruise towards the north bypassing Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah emirates. Once in Ras Al Khaimah we will continue towards the east and cross into Oman through Wadi Bih and drive up to the highest mountain peak at approx 1200 meters where you will have a breathtaking view of the picturesque Hajar Mountain. Our drive continues deep through narrow gorges and Wadis while you can enjoy the unique flora and fauna.  Here, you will see and probably meet the indigenous men who once occupied this mountain range, reminiscent of their ancestor the “Shuhuh” tribe. We cross the Hajar to the eastern region and arrive at Dibba, an ancient fishermen settlement with an abundance of date palms; Dibba is a name, which lives, in Islamic history as the site of the great battles of the redda wars.  Today the town is divided into three regions each belonging to a different ruler: Dibba Muhallab (Fujeirah), Dibba Hisn (Sharjah) and Dibba Bayah (Oman). The scenic drive continues along the east coast towards Khorfakkan (port city in Sharjah) and on the way we stop at ‘Bidiya’, the site of the oldest mosque in the UAE (1460). We continue towards Fujairah city and further south towards ‘Kalba’; famous for its Mangroves.  The return journey will take us across the Hajar Mountains once more through the newly constructed highway which connects the East and West. Just before sunset your guide will demonstrate to you the skills of tackling sand dunes, so hold up your breath and beware of camels!
